Leadership is the strength of getting a group to do something and keeping the group in good shape while it happens. Both halves are required.
Either half alone is common. Plenty of people can drive a piece of work to completion and leave a wrecked team behind it; plenty of others keep everybody happy and finish nothing. This strength is the combination, which is why it is rarer than either.
It has very little to do with holding a title. It shows up in whoever ends up organizing a group holiday, chairing a meeting nobody was chairing, or making sure the quiet person's idea gets heard before the loud person's is agreed.

The person who organizes things gets asked to organize things. The organizing ends up covering every group somebody is in, including the ones they joined to relax. It is rarely visible enough for anybody to offer to take it off them.
It gets confused with being dominant or loud. The quietest person in a group is frequently the one doing this, and the giveaway is not who talks most. It is who the group looks at when a decision has to be made.
Both are about being good in a group. Teamwork is pulling your weight inside it; Leadership is taking responsibility for how the whole thing runs.
Both depend on reading people. Social Intelligence notices what individuals need; Leadership uses that to move a group somewhere.
Everybody has all 24 of these. A result puts them in order within one person, so a strength near the bottom of somebody's list is one they reach for less often rather than one they are missing.
That also means nothing here compares one person with another. There is no reference sample behind these scales, and an order made of somebody's own answers cannot say where they stand next to anybody.
