About selfwyse

Why we exist

Most people go through life with a rough guess at who they are — pieced together from what’s worked, and what hasn’t. That guess is usually incomplete, and almost nobody ever checks it.

We think knowing yourself well is one of the most useful things a person can do. Not as a one-time discovery you file away, but as something you keep sharpening — how you handle pressure, what you actually need from people, where your instincts help you and where they quietly get in the way.

Better individuals make better relationships. Better relationships make a better world. That’s the whole bet we’re making.

How it works

Take an assessment

Every selfwyse assessment is free to take. No card, no catch. Most take between five and twelve minutes, and you don't need an account to start.

See your result

You always get a free result at the end, and it's a real one rather than a teaser. If you want the fuller picture, there's a deeper report with more detail and more about what to do with it. The free result stays yours either way.

Build shared reports

One click makes a link you can send to anyone: a partner, a best friend, a sibling, someone you work with. They take their own assessment free and keep their own result, whether or not the two of you ever read one together. Once you've both finished, a paired report shows where you line up and where you don't. Three or more people makes a circle, up to twelve.

Where our questions come from

These aren’t made-up quizzes. Most of our assessments are built from the International Personality Item Pool, a public bank of questions researchers have used and published on for decades. It is public domain, so nobody makes us name it. We name it because a claim you can’t check isn’t worth much.

The same rule cuts the other way, and that part costs us something. Our Enneagram assessment runs on questions we wrote ourselves, because every well-known Enneagram questionnaire is private property. We could have described the Enneagram’s general reputation and let you assume it belonged to our questions. Instead it is marked as a pilot everywhere it appears, and it stays marked until we have real figures for our own items.

Every assessment has its own page showing where its questions came from, what evidence stands behind them, and what a result can and can’t tell you. See how we build them.

Ready when you are

Our hope is a simple one: that a few honest minutes with selfwyse will help you see yourself, and the people in your life, a little more clearly. The more of us who do, the more selfwyse we all become.
